Whitley Coach House is a 5-minute walk away from Whitley 9 hole Golf Club and driving range that welcomes everyone from complete beginners to more experienced golfers.

The Pear Tree Inn is only 1/2 mile from us 10 minutes walk and 2 minutes by car away from a great local pub with great reviews and good food, good including breakfasts.Fires in the winter and great garden space during the summer. With real ales and a good selection of wines. Many of our guests go there for breakfast, but they are so busy it is always best to book.

Lowden Farm Shop, Restaurant and Garden Centre Offers fresh farm produce meat reared and locally grown fruit and vegetables, free range eggs and freshly baked bread. Onsite skilled chefs produce wonderful, everyday dishes which are available in the restaurant or to take home. A fantastic delicatessen with a wide range of tempting treats including salami and faggots, homemade pies, tartlets, terrines and antipasti such as olives, artichokes and dips. There’s also one of the best selection of cheeses in the area.

Bath: 20 Minutes away from us by Bus or Car World Heritage City with outstanding Georgian architecture. Visitor attractions include The Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa – a day spa where you can bathe in warm, natural, mineral-rich waters, where the Celts and Romans did over 2000 years ago.

Castle Combe: Extraordinarily pretty village on the southernmost edge of the Cotswolds, ranked number 2 in The Times’ 30 best villages. Castle Combe Circuit It is one of the longest established circuits in the UK and today boasts modern facilities for competitors and spectators. Bowood House: 20 Minutes by Car Home to the Lansdowne family since 1754, this Georgian house lies within parklands designed by Capability Brown. Inside the house is a mixture of historical treasures including Queen Victoria’s wedding chair and Napoleon’s death mask. The Adventure Playground for children with a coffee shop. Shelburne Restaurant for fine dining. Avebury: 30 Minutes by Car The largest stone circle in Europe, owned and run by the National Trust. A Neolithic henge monument with three stone circles. Bradford-on-Avon Devizes 20 Minutes by Car The charming historic market town of Devizes lies at the very heart of Wiltshire. Founded in Norman times at the boundaries (the Latin ‘ad Divisas’) of surrounding villages, the town grew up around the castle. The outline of the town walls shows in the ‘D’ shape of the centre which retains its mediaeval street plan. The town is compact and, being on the level, easy to walk round. The town prospered in Georgian times when many of its finest buildings were erected. Today Devizes can boast nearly 500 listed buildings, probably the highest concentration anywhere in England. Stonehenge One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks. It is in the middle of the densest complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds. Longleat 40 Minutes by Car Longleat Safari Park opened in 1966 and was the first drive-through safari park outside Africa. The park is situated in the grounds of Longleat House, an English stately home that attracts tourists and is the current home of the 7th Marquess of Bath. The safari park was the first of its kind anywhere in the world and was considered to be a massive breakthrough in the way in which captive animals were kept, with the animals roaming freely and the visitors in cages (cars).
